Tips to Develop Your Personal Brand
Posted by: | CommentsHere is a fabulous book by Michael Port, Book Yourself Solid: The Fastest, Easiest and Most Reliable System for Getting More Clients Than You Can Handle Even if You Hate Marketing and Selling. It contains some of the most practical, actionable, and no-nonsense advice to authentically market yourself.
I share Michael’s philosophy of getting clear on who you are and your true calling. Michael categorizes and labels your “personal brand” elements a bit differently and expounds further, but the essence remains the same. He calls it your “who and do what” statement, and your “why you do it” statement.
Here’s wishing you much joy and authentic living doing what you love!

Why Social Media Marketing Comes Last
Posted by: | CommentsHere’s a terrific article on the importance of doing the upfront ‘leg work’ before putting your message out on social media! As the article shares, social media AMPLIFIES your message……….if your message is unclear or confusing then you’ve just amplified it.
AWARENESS: This is taking the time to determine who you are and what you are passionate about sharing/offering (and why), and specifically what you will be offering and the audience you plan to reach and support.
CLARITY: Being able to clearly identify IN WORDS (so it rolls off your tongue…or fingertips….naturally) this awareness.
DEFINE: Now clean up the message so you can memorialize it in every aspect of your marketing strategy (ALL your social media profiles should be consistent, too).
NOW GO: Make sure your message truly expresses who you are, what you offer, your vision…..and remember your website is home base (your audience should eventually get there to learn more and sign up to do business with you, etc.)! Don’t forget the importance of a well thought out marketing strategy (all marketing venues you intend to express your message AND an action plan to follow)!
